The Xiros Mikro comes standard with an interchangeable 5 heated stainless steel Shelf Stack. This 5-shelf setup is easily changed into a 3, 7, or 9-shelf configuration — it's plug and play. Depending on your freeze-drying application, you can choose the shelf setup that best fits your process. When you change to a different process, just switch shelf stacks. Any of these interchangeable shelf stacks provides a high-capacity and space-saving solution for your freeze drying needs. All Shelf Stacks have fixed shelves that are individually heated. Per shelf you have 465 mm x 210 mm of usable space. Made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, ensuring a durable and maintenance-friendly solution.

Shelf Stack Options: 9, 7, 5, and 3 Shelves

• 9 Shelves — Inter-shelf distance: 19 mm. Fits 12 mm trays. Total surface area: 7,245 cm² (0.725 m²)
• 7 Shelves — Inter-shelf distance: 28 mm. Fits 15 mm trays. Total surface area: 5,635 cm² (0.5635 m²)
• 5 Shelves — Inter-shelf distance: 40 mm. Fits 20 mm trays. Total surface area: 4,025 cm²
• 3 Shelves — Inter-shelf distance: 68 mm. Fits 20 mm trays. Total surface area: 2,425 cm²

All trays used have the same inner width and depth of 185 mm x 435 mm and come in various heights: 12 mm (for 9-shelf), 15 mm (for 7-shelf), or 20 mm (for 3- and 5-shelf stacks). Extra trays are available in packs so you can pre-freeze your next batch while the machine is running a cycle, significantly shortening the total freeze-dry process time and ensuring continuity of your workflow.
